Martin, his sister and brother-in-law, and I went to Nicaragua for 3 nights from April 30th-May 3rd so I am going to post a mini-blog about that here. We spent some time helping to paint the school house - it still needs a lot of work, in fact we don't even have gutters yet.
I spent most of my time trimming and edging plus some ceiling work(left) while Eric spent his time on ceilings(right).
We checked out the large land area the school-house is located on, it was muddy and marshy but beautiful.

The great thing about what Martin and the team have done is they've treated this school like a startup. They don't even have the school-house done yet but they are teaching kids already. They will continue to finish-out the school house as they get donations. Here are a couple of pics, you can see our shiny new painted ceilings. The desks are hand-made by workers and they are AMAZING, as Americans we would pay a lot for that kind of quality. On this trip we also bought a bunch of organizational supplies for the teacher.
