A difference-maker in my daughter's life

Gosh I am emotional as I write this.  I am so thankful for a friend of my wife's.  My daughter was feeling insecure several weeks ago, and in spite of our praise of her she was, for a period of time, struggling with not feeling pretty...  As a dad to daughters I am seeing those types of thoughts are very difficult and wounding for a young girl to have.  As her dad I praise her all the time and tell her she is beautiful- but growing up is hard and she was struggling with those thoughts anyway.  My wife told her friend about this who, in turn, shared a special song with us by Mercy Me called "Beautiful"- it is written to speak exactly to this.

I still remember my daughter on the iPad listening to this song on YouTube and just crying and crying with my wife and I beside her.  She listened to it 3-4 times and cried the whole time with tears streaming down her cheeks and with deep sobbing.  My wife and I asked her why she was crying - was it because she was so encouraged by the Lord; she said yes.  It was a sweet moment I won't forget as this song washed over her and healed her.

I want to thank my wife's friend "B" very much for loving my daughter enough to share that with her.  I want to thank Mercy Me for such a beautiful song that, I am sure, has- and will heal many people.  And most of all want to thank the Lord, who so sweetly shepherds the hearts of my girls and speaks to them -  helping them through all of life's difficulties.

I'll embed the video here, I hope this blesses many of you and I want to encourage you as well that if there are hurts you hold deep inside- share those with the Lord and allow his healing and comfort to wash over you as well.
My life is amazing.
