Hey brian, I just wanted to thank you for being bold about your faith. For sharing things that you are now ashamed of and letting Gods power be perfect in your weakness. Your story spoke to me because its real, especially the part about God freeing you from guilt and addictions that you didnt expect to ever leave you - isnt it awesome!?!? It is true as well, and only by the power of the Living God can we be freed from past guilt and the scared callouses on our hearts from past existance without a redeemer. Do not be affraid to share, if the church looks to you with haughty eyes because they hear of a saved sinners past it is their pride and you need to share with them a better grip of how great is His grace and a fresh definiton of unconditional love because our honest testimony is the only way the kingdom will increase. Thats all that really matters isnt it. Thank you for sharing. seriously!
Dear Brian, I tripped upon your story and was drawn in by your title The Christian Business Guy. I'm involved in launching the Catholic Business Journal (http://www.catholicbusinessjournal.com) and figured you might be a great connection. But ya blew me away!!! GOD BLESS YOU MIGHTILY FOR ABANDONING YOUR LIFE TO HIM, to such a generous, merciful King of Hearts!!! I am totally inspired by your story and feel honored that Our Lord led me to reading it. God bless your beautiful journey in Chrit!! -Karen
Great story brother! I'm so glad that the Lord was able to reach you and help you turn your life around. We all get off track and backslide, but the Lord is always waiting and willing to help pick us back up! God Bless you and your family!
God will never leave us nor forsake us, even when we backslide! I also wanted to share my testimony. When you have a moment Please go to www.lisasvictory.com

Is there some type of navigation? Should I purchase a system that can see? Maybe a greater mental determination, Exactly just what is in store for me?
GOD does have a plan for you, It might not include your own, Unless you seek Him with all your heart, Sorry, it will never be known.
The Kingdom of Heaven, Is there for all to receive, When there’s a cloudy picture, You have doubt in your belief.
Don’t let the devil fool you, He will lie and deceive, Buying in to his deceptions, Means you never will receive.
The blessings promised by Jesus, And the many before he came, For the windows of Heaven to open, When The Lord calls upon your name.
However, God will never call you, Acting on what Satan has to say, It’s ok to act, talk and dress like this, Following the world that way.
Accept from The Bible all that you’ve heard, Don’t just be hearers but doers of The Word, An urgency for every man, woman, boy and girl, They can’t get caught up in following the world.
For the world is headed well do I really need to tell? There will be no probation when sentenced to this jail, Walk with Satan, you will certainly be held liable, God sent to us a way out and it’s called The Bible!
Dude your story is great.. God is doing awesome things.. One question tho.. How do you deal with being numb? I have been fighting that.. and how do you love God more? Thanks and God bless you dude!
Hi Joshua, thanks for reading My Story and for your nice comments. So, I'd love to discuss the numbness topic in more detail if you would like to email me. I do a lot of email correspondence 1:1 through this site. However, I'd like to address the two questions briefly. The numbness issue is one that we all are going to deal with from time to time. The strange and not-intuitive thing about the Christian walk is that if you seek God more you will become less numb and want God more. If you get distracted and de-focused and do not seek God more then you become gradually colder- so slowly you usually don't notice it. So, the cure is to spend time with the Lord. Work on limiting what you allow into your mind. If the Lord is getting more and more of your time and mindshare then believe me he will do something with it for you and you will grow. Remember that in the Book of Isaiah the Lord said "I have not said to Jacob seek me in vain." What he is saying is he is a kind and fair God and of course if you seek the Lord and press in to know him you will have results. But you must never give up in your seeking. You must be relentless and not depend on your feelings. I can write you more on this if you would like to write me.
hey brian,i stumbled across your story, and it is similar to mine,i am currently running from God or backslidden i have preached before and taught the bible, and i just want you to know your story got me to thinking, please pray for me,Jesus is better than any drug or woman, and i miss him so much,i think im gonna surrender to him, thanks
Thanks for writing. I'd love to correspond and share some encouragement, prayer, and whatever the Lord leads. For now just let me say that it is no accident you came across this site. The Lord is leading you. He is encouraging you to come back to him. He has the power to break sin. Choose life in him today. You know what I am going to say but I am going to say it anyway. You have to repent/turn from that sin and stop doing it. Get rid of all the vestiges of that sin. Ask the Lord what steps to take and expect ideas to start coming to you of what to do to purify your environment. Ask the Lord what you should allow into your mind and obey. And, start having time with him each day. I suggest reading a Psalm a day, a Proverb a day, and a couple chapters in the Book of Galatians and 1st John. Read prayerfully, asking the Lord to speak to you and teach you. Feel free to write to me and correspond, it can really help but seek the Lord. In the Book of Isaiah God says, "I have not said to Jacob 'seek me in vain'". In another place he says, "you will find me when you seek me with all of your heart." If you have already accepted Jesus as your Savior but have backslidden the key is to repent/turn from that sin and then begin seeking him with all your heart- and surrender totally. God bless you and keep you and reveal himself to you more and more as you lay your life down for him and seek him with all of your heart. Give yourself to him, he will give himself to you.
it really touched me and i want to get my life straight with God. i dont know what happened to me, i was walking with God and then i dont know what happen. I just want to walk with Him right now and forever
Thanks for the last couple of people who posted. Its encouraging to see that the site is a blessing. I hope to write other articles in the next few months so check back then. Eventually I want to cover several other needed topics as well as the general concept of growing in the Lord.
For now, suffice it to say that if you seek the Lord you will find him. If you draw near to him, he will draw near to you. If you spend time with him, your hunger for God will grow.
Wow Brian, I know it has been said quite a bit already on your comments but I really apreciate how you were willing to share your story. My mom had come across your blog a while back and had mentioned something about it. I finally got around to reading the whole thing and commenting. God is so great isnt he? He can take us from the worst position we could be in and work through us for others! Being a "young guy", in christian highschool I have been really blessed. I have a family, immediate and extended, that loves and continualy wants to serve the Lord, and I have the awesome oppurtunity to go to a church where the word of God is given to you right from the Bible. Even with all of this we still are tempted and things come across our path. I thank the Lord for people out there that are just willing to pray and let people know about God's love. I will be praying for you in your minstries and I hope you continue putting the true meaning of Gods wonderful love and saving grace out there, not a watered down version. I would like it if you would pray for me also because life is a constant battle against the fiery arrows of the evil one.

You should do an unshackled story! I love listening to those on the radio and it would help reach a few more people.
Thank you so much for this. I needed to hear this exact thing at this time.
