Email is crazy for me- and for most people in business. Yes, email is important but I am learning that if I am going to make strategic progress and work on big-impact and strategic things - I need to shut off email sometimes.
If I turn off email for a short time each day - I can ensure I make a little progress each day on the important and big-picture "proactive" things and I am not driven by the tyranny of the urgent.
